this is why you need to backup projects
yeah, my bad. i feel like dizzy now. i regret it.
i had the same deal. luckily i had backups and only lost two seconds of animation.
backups.
good for you, well i wish i did the same thing....
I feel your pain D: It seems you have learned to keep back-ups everywhere in the same way as I did, the hard way.
i guess. i tried to restore the other back up i made but it is totally unusable like the corrupted one. restorer isn't useful t all.
Have your heard of drop box?
yeah my client told me about it. you know what? that's a nice idea :D
take the ten minutes and download a dropbox (<a href="http://www.dropbox.com">www.dropbox.com</a>? ) - - its free and its a fuckin awesome way to back shit up in addition to a hard drive with out having to buy or lug around anything
yeah that's a nice idea!. Thanks for that :) and i heard it is automatically creating backup. ^^
This happend to me once with a flash game I had been working on for around a month. I almost snapped my laptop, good thing I now have this Windows 7 computer. Windows Vista sucks ball, BALLS!!
I really feel for you, man
Had my fair share of project mishaps, luckly nothing quite as devastating though :(
As others have said, dropbox will save you so much hurt.
But I also like to every so often "save as" the project under a new name ("wip4" etc), so I know I can *always* go back if anything happens.
OH! This happened to me in 2007 when I made my first quiz. I still had the swf, but it was too much like hard work recreating it at the time. If you find you have anything left try asking around how to use it in the forums. This year, when I stupidly deleted something I got some useful suggestions in the Flash forum on how to recreate it from the SWF.
